PREMIER GOALKEEPING ACADEMY

TESTIMONIALS

Ian Feuer's training is unmatched. Because of his coaching, I was able to secure a scholarship for four years to play on Colorado College's Division I team. His expertise and support have been constant motivators throughout my college career, and his coaching style has enabled me to become a student of the game. I couldn't be thankful enough for the huge impact that PGKA has had on me over the years."

I have been a goalkeeper for many years and have had many goalkeeper coaches,

but Ian is, by far, the BEST.  I feel very fortunate that such a knowledgeable

coach can help me improve my goalkeeping skills.  Every time I go out to train

with him, he encourages me to challenge myself, boosts my confidence and puts a

smile on my face.  After every lesson, I can proudly walk off the field with my

head held high; knowing that I've had a successful training session.  Ian

explains his drills thoroughly and makes sure that each drill is performed

accurately. He has taken me to the next level and continues to push me to become

the best goalkeeper around.  Ian has helped make me the keeper I am today; and

for that, I am grateful!

I will miss him when I go to WSU."

I have trained with Ian Feuer ever since I began to take the position

seriously when I was 12 years old. He taught me the importance of crisp footwork

and clean hands. Without a doubt his mentorship and coaching is unlike any other

I have experienced and has been a foundation that helped me achieve milestones

like helping my club team make it to nationals in 2010, become selected for the

U-20 Mexican National Team, and earn a starting position at the D1 collegiate

level.

Throughout my soccer career I have had numerous goalkeeping trainers and lessons, but nothing can compare to the training that I received from PGKA and Ian Feuer. His experience, knowledge of the game and detail-oriented mentality sets his training sessions apart from all others. Ian is able to break down the game and turn the big picture into small scenarios, making it much easier to focus on technique. This allowed me to stop over thinking and focus on the simplest parts of goalkeeping in order to enhance my game and better myself mentally and physically.

Just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate you and all that you do! We

feel so fortunate that you train Adam. We have seen his level of play and his

excitement for goal just keep increasing over the years!

We appreciate the most that regardless of age you hold the players to a certain

expectation - what I mean is you don't dumb it down -you train a 12 year old the

same as an 18 year old.

Thank you for all the hard work you do in putting together the training session

and always challenging Adam. I'm sure one if the reason he loves goalie so much

is because of you- You know he wants to be you when he grows up-

You Are The Best-Thank You!

"Ian is the best goalkeeper coach that our daughter has ever had the privilege to work with.  His sessions are a perfect blend of technical training and mental preparation.  He can quickly understand what his students need to work and how they can improve.  The impact for our daughter has been immediate.  Since she started training with Ian, Anjali is rapidly improving as a keeper, building her self confidence and enjoying the game more.  Ian is a proven winner, just take a look at where he has played and the men and women he has trained.  If anyone is serious about being a quality keeper, Ian is the ONLY person we would recommend."

My son Albert has been a weekly student of Ian’s since Nov 2010. During that time he has developed from a young keeper with raw ability into a keeper of significant potential who has trained with professional clubs in England. At 16 he is on the verge of being offered a scholarship with an English pro team Academy. Without Ian none of this would have been possible. Not only has Ian been a great coach he also become an amazing mentor. He provides Albert with advice, beyond the playing field, when conflicts arise with team mates or coaches. There are many “keeper” coaches, but unless you are working with a coach who has played at the highest levels of the game, as Ian has, they cannot possibly help your son or daughter down the path to a pro career. When Albert trained in England with Huddersfield Town the keeper coach knew Ian and had the greatest amount of respect for him having played against Ian in England. Simply put there is no one other than “the big man“ who I would trust Albert’s development to.

Ian is one of a kind. Not everyone can be a great player and a great teacher. Ian’s unique training, his knowledge of the game, and his passion for the sport set him apart from any other trainer I have worked with. Ian breaks down every skill and play so that you can execute it with precision and it becomes second nature. His teaching is positive and builds confidence. His professionalism and positive attitude inspire me. I leave each training session with new knowledge of the game and position. I have trained with Ian for over 3 years. In that time, my technical skills, knowledge of the game, speed and agility, and overall ability have grown immensely. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow with his training.  Thanks, Ian!

“Ian is the best keeper trainer in the US. Hands down. With his vast and deep player experience, with some of the best English Premier (EPL) & European clubs such as  Brugge, Arsenal, Wolverhampton, Westham United, and his US MLS player experience with Colorado Rapids & New England Revolution – then his invaluable technical knowledge as LA Galaxy’s Head Goalkeeper Coach, Ian brings a perspective combining a very deep technical understanding of the goalkeeper position, with the practical nuances of applying this to the multitude of second by second situations a keeper can experience during any game. He is a master communicator, very good with explaining complex concepts to young up-and-comers, is always positive & motivating, and is just very cool and real. Any time with Ian Feuer, is invaluable.”

Goalkeepers are a special breed and it takes a special person to understand them and help to nurture them and bring the best out of them.
Ian Feuer is one of those persons, under Ian's guidance I improved and excelled. He's a great person to work with and to be around he's also one of the best if not the best goalkeeper coach I've had the pleasure of working with.

"I have been training with Ian for over 4 years. He is the only keeper trainer that I have encountered that understands and teaches the mental side of being a keeper. Ian has plenty of professional experience and advice for everything. He has even kept the love of the game going for me. Ian was a key contributor to the success I have achieved becoming a US National Champion Goalkeeper with the Cal South ODP team. Ian can find and introduce that special detail that really makes a difference, and I am extremely satisfied with the proven results."

"Training with Coach Feurer during both individual sessions and camps has helped

me take my Goalkeeping to the next level.  Coach Feurer gets the best out of me

because of his down to earth manner combined with his extensive professional

experience.  He is the best Goalkeeper Coach!"

In my years as a gk I've worked with many keepers and by far working with Ian Feuer was the best and most educational experience for me. He molded me into the keeper Iam today and made me confident and prepared no matter if it was a game or training day. His work is so progressive and goes above and beyond pertaining to sessions, flow of sessions, technical video review from the days session( which he films everyday) mental preparation, and opponent video review. His expertise from playing the game at the highest level has allowed him to become such a great coach. Not only that but he is an amazing person and I loved working with him. He is fit for any club in need of a gk coach and whoever he lands with is lucky.

Ian Feuer took our daughter’s game to the next level.  He prepared her physically, mentally and technically and made her dream of playing soccer at a Division I school a reality. He nurtured  her passion for the game, cultivated her talent and empowered her with his unique insight.  We are genuinely grateful for his patience, guidance and dedication.

The reason I am writing is to thank you for having such an AMAZING goalie coach, Ian Feuer. We have experienced excellent coaching over the years with our older son's participation in club, and now academy level soccer, and Ian stands out as one of the best coaches we have seen. We watch every training session, and he always comes prepared with a well-thought out plan of the game situations he wants to cover.

He is meticulous in using the full hour, without a wasted moment, to give these kids specific instructions EVERY time they are in the goal (and if a kid finishes their turn and jogs away before acknowledging that they understand his feedback, he will stop play to make sure they have absorbed the instruction).  He also structures his drills so every player is involved, participating, and learning something at all times - they are challenged, yet having a good time.
He is very direct and clear about his expectations during practice, and he treats the kids like young professionals.  The players really respond to his respectful, no-nonsense approach, and it is obvious that they all enjoy working with him.
My son loves Coach Ian. After practice, when asked how it went, he will consistently say "it was hard, but fun". Exactly what you want to hear as a parent - that your child is being pushed positively to learn and grow, but not at the expense of losing their passion for the game. If anything, Ian has increased Diego's commitment to soccer and to being a goalie. Diego really looks up to him, and not just because Ian is 6'6"! Diego is so proud to have Ian as his coach, and he soaks up all of Ian's constructive input. We see the lessons in training, and then we watch Diego implementing what he has learned in practice during games. It's fantastic!
